A strangely attractive volume

Perhaps there’s another way of looking at this title and cover. But I just can’t see it.

Victory Press did evangelical Christian stuff, so you just know that when the blurb says:

Andy didn’t know what an unpleasant interruption to his holidays was to take place because of this stranger who, with his melting, brown eyes and alluring manner, seemed to bring him under a spell which drew him on, on … until there appeared to be no going back.

That it doesn’t really mean it and it’s just some kind of Metaphor.
