Illustrated by Dorothy Fitch.
This is one of my treasures. A charming story for young readers. Given as a prize for ‘progress’ by a Presbyterian Girls’ College.
My, how things have changed.
It is, of course, a story about a dog. A dog called Cop, who belongs to a boy called Simon Shooter. Because that makes sense, doesn’t it?
Incidentally, I like the illustrations quite un-ironically, as in the frontispiece.
