The notable sequel

Kiddie of the Camp.

By Robert Leighton.  Pearson, London, 1922.

This, of course, is the absolutely fabulous sequel to Kiddie the Scout.

Which is a vast relief for me, because I’ve already made all of my camp kiddie jokes.

You do have to wonder, sometimes, just how many 12 year old scouts there actually were in the Old West. To judge from the literature (written for young chaps in Leeds and Leighton Buzzard) the place was simply teaming with them.
