Nice to have a classic on board

The African Queen.

By CS Forester. Michael Joseph, London, 1946 (this edition 1970).

I love being able to return to classic works with fresh eyes. You never know what you’ll suddenly notice.

(Is this a classic? It was a classic film — but how far wrong can you go with Hepburn, Bogart and a leech-infested swamp?)

About tartanpartan

It won't surprise you to learn that I'm quite keen on books, and spend as much of my spare time as possible picking over second hand book stalls and charity book sales with my surprisingly delicate claws.
